The final balance must be paid no later than six weeks before the start of your holiday. If your departure date is within six weeks of the date of booking, the full balance will be requested. Please note there is a transaction charge for any payments by credit card. There is no charge for payments made by Solo, Switch, Delta, cheque or bank transfer. The holiday contract is subject to the English law and is binding under the relevant conventions. In the case of refunds, credit card charges are non-refundable.

FLIGHTS- We give our customers the option of booking a flight themselves or we are happy to conduct a flight search and book your flights for you. There is an administration fee of £5.00 per person should we book your flight. If you prefer us to book your flights we will check availability and cost. However, tee times and course availability will not have been checked at this stage. You will be asked if you prefer that we check course and tee time availability prior to booking the flight. Any delay in booking your flights could result in additional flight costs should the airline increase the fare. We cannot be responsible for course and tee time availability should you request we first book your flight. Flight bookings are conducted online as this avoids administration fees imposed by the airlines. However, some airlines will only allow a certain number of seats to be booked in any one transaction and the cost of booking additional seats may increase. You will be expected to meet additional costs for any increase in flight prices. If you prefer we book your flight in one transaction, we can reserve your seats on the telephone. All airlines will charge an administration fee for this service. If we are unable to reserve your seats in one transaction, we will inform you at the time of booking. Flights are sometimes changed for reasons beyond our control and either the airline or Golf Holidays Abroad will alert you to your new travel times. Such changes do not entitle you to cancel or postpone your holiday. All flights booked via us are ATOL protected. You are bound by the terms and conditions of the airline for your flights and for all other areas of your holiday the terms and conditions of Golf Holidays Abroad Limited will apply. An ATOL receipt and a full copy of the airlines terms and conditions will be sent to you when your flight is booked.

DELAYS – We cannot accept responsibility for any delays in departure and any subsequent costs as a result of the delay, including golf tee times. If your flight is delayed please call us and we will do our best to move your start time.

PRIVATE AIRCRAFT – We cannot accept responsibility for the delay or cancellation of private light aircraft for any reason, including weather conditions and all cancellation charges will apply.

CHANGES TO FLIGHTS BY YOU – Charges for Flight changes vary depending on the airline. Most airlines will charge a fee for a name change, plus the additional cost of the flight if the flight price has increased from the original date of booking.

GOLF CLUB CARRIAGE -Most airlines now make a charge for the carriage of golf clubs, and this varies depending on the airline. Some airlines will only accept payment for golf clubs on arrival at the check in desk and we will inform you of this when booking your flights. However, some airlines require payment for golf clubs at the time of booking and this will be included in your flight costs. If your luggage or golf clubs exceed the airlines limit you will be charged per kg at the check in desk.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATION BY US – Should there be any changes to your itinerary between our discussion with you and the time we send your Confirmation of Booking Invoice, we will inform you and ask for your preferred plan of action. We will also contact you should there be any changes to your itinerary between your confirmation and the sending of your tickets/vouchers. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel or drastically change your itinerary, you will be entitled to a full refund or you will be offered a replacement holiday of at least equal value. Should force majeure lead to a drastic change to your holiday, we will do our best to offer a suitable alternative.

TRAVEL INSURANCE – Golf Holidays Abroad strongly recommends you undertake travel insurance. Some insurance companies may consider the game of golf as a dangerous sport and you should mention your participation when obtaining a quotation. You should also ensure that your golf equipment is covered in the policy.

ALTERATIONS IN COST – Should there be any increase in the cost to us, caused by currency exchange rate fluctuations, Government action, or changes in air or ferry fares and hotel and golf charges, we will absorb the first three per cent of them. You will be required to meet any increase between four and ten per cent. If we have to increase the price of your holiday by more than ten per cent, you will have the option of continuing with the holiday arrangements and meeting the extra costs (above the first three per cent) or of cancelling with a refund of any money you have paid to us, except any charges you have incurred for amendments. If you decide to cancel the holiday, you must do so within seven working days of the issue of the revised Confirmation of Booking Invoice.

BUGGIES – Buggies are not included in the cost, unless otherwise stated, and are payable locally. Buggies included in the cost are per two persons sharing and you will be expected to meet the extra cost on arrival for a single golfer. Please note that availability of buggies at some golf clubs is limited and we advise you to request buggies at the time of booking. Buggies are compulsory at some golf courses during stipulated times and the cost of these is not always included in the green fee.

GREEN FEES/START TIMES – If your confirmed golf club cancel your reservation or change your tee time we will try to find a suitable alternative. You will be charged or refunded for any difference in the original cost. Such changes do not entitle you to cancel a holiday that is part of a package. We cannot be held responsible for the actual playing conditions of the golf courses, whether caused by maintenance or weather conditions. If we are advised, we will pass maintenance information to you and ask for your preferred plan of action. Golf course closure due to weather conditions is at the discretion of the golf club. Most golf clubs will offer a full refund should they decide to close the course. Golf clubs reserve the right to make up matches to four balls.

HANDICAP CERTIFICATES - We will pass your handicap details to the golf courses at the time of booking and in some circumstances certificates must be produced prior to play. We recommend you take a certificate with you regardless as some golf clubs can change their rules.

TICKETS AND VOUCHERS – We will send your tickets and vouchers approximately two weeks prior to your departure (apart from late bookings). The pack will contain all the details to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.

PASSPORTS AND HEALTH REGULATIONS - A passport is necessary to travel to all European countries. Most European countries enjoy the same level of medical service as Great Britain. It is advisable to obtain from your local DHSS office a copy of the booklet Protect Your Health Abroad and the form E111 for

presentation when seeking medical assistance abroad. The E111 entitles you; your spouse and your dependants to Free State provided or reduced cost emergency treatment. All passengers entering the USA from the UK now require a MRP (Machine Readable Passport).

OUR DESCRIPTIONS – The descriptions of the regions, hotels, courses and other aspects of the holidays are based on opinions gained on visits to them and on the opinions of official bodies and guides. We are not always able to exercise control over all the components of the holiday arrangements and it is possible that an advertised amenity be withdrawn or changed due to various reasons such as water conservation, renovation work, etc. We will advise you if we become aware of a major change but we cannot accept liability for loss, damage or inconvenience in such circumstances.

REDUCED GREEN FEES – Many courses offer green fee reductions for junior golfers ages 18 or under and PGA Professionals.

VALUABLES – Golf Holidays Abroad cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to personal belongings. Several hotels offer a safe in the hotel bedrooms. If this is not available, please ask the hotel reception to look after your valuables.

HOTEL ROOMS – In general, rooms are available for occupancy between noon and 4pm on the day of your arrival and should be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Your luggage can be left at the hotel reception if you arrive early.

CAR HIRE – All drivers must be ages 21 or over and must have held a valid driving licence for at least two years. The car hire companies are well signposted and tend to be just outside the main airport terminals. You will be asked to produce your driving licence and passport when you present your voucher at the booth. You will be given a form to sign. Please ensure you do not sign for extra insurance unless required.

SPECIAL REQUESTS – We will do our best to provide for your special requests. However, please do not accept this as a guarantee of provision but as a guarantee of our endeavour.

LOCAL TIMES – All times stated on the Confirmation of Booking are local.

COMPLAINTS – In the event that any part of your holiday is not up to the standard you expect, please inform the relevant supplier – such as the cross-channel ferry operator and Golf Holidays Abroad as soon as possible. Together, we will do our utmost to provide you with a ‘quality solution’. Should you still be unhappy, please inform us in writing, within 28 days of your return and we will do our very best to provide answers to your queries. Should we not provide reasonable performance of the holiday contract with you, we will endeavour to provide adequate recompense.
