Le Touquet and Hardelot are popular choices for golfers based in the South East of England. Just 35 minutes via Eurotunnel from Folkestone and you are in France. Both Le Touquet and Hardelot are under an hour from Calais via a new Autoroute A16 (Motorway) and each boast two first class championship standard courses.
Belle Dune Golf Club is just 30 minutes drive south of Le Touquet and is fast achieving a reputation as the best course in the area.
For the less ambitious there is Wimereux Golf Club, located on the coast between Calais and Boulogne. Also the pleasant Nampont St Martin golf courses, complete with 15th century chateau are not to be overlooked.
Close to the Belgium border is the wonderful hidden course of Dunkerque where most of the holes have a water hazard attached. A recent addition of nine new remarkable holes at Dunkirque makes it a must play course.
Further inland there are two more wonderful courses. Aa St Omer is a test of stamina as well as golf and its elevation to the PGA European tour has put this course firmly on the map.
The Championship course at Arras has recently staged the LPGA French Ladies Championship and the addition of Hotel du Golf on site has made this a great alternative to golf at Le Touquet
Here are just some of the golf courses in the Channel coast region of France:- Belle Dune, Hardelot, Le Touquet, Nampont, Aa St Omer, Wimereux, Dunkerque, Arras and Nampont St Martin.

Le Touquet offers the unique ambiance of a French resort while preserving the lingering atmosphere inherited from its British founding fathers, at the turn of the twentieth century.
It is therefore not a great surprise if Le Touquet has become a favourite golf destination. The famous "La Mer" course is reminiscent of a Scottish links, while the "La Foret" course is beautifully set among pine trees.
Le Touquet is also a four seasons family resort, boasting horseback riding, tennis, "thalsasso" therapy and unrivaled seaside activities. It must also be noted that the Channel Tunnel and a network of motorways in the area make it all the easier to drive to Le Touquet for a short break or longer stay.
Le Touquet is the jewel of the Northern French coast, and if you have never been then lose no time and visit it soon. The airport is only a short walk or a very short taxi ride from the town centre.
Situated on the coast, and around 38 miles South of Calais, Le Touquet has become as fashionable as the Riviera in the 1930's, when Noel Coward, P G Wodehouse and others entertained in villas amongst the pinewoods, and luxury hotels were then built in abundance.
